New Work in Progress....

Well, its been a busy last couple of weeks but I think things are slowing down. I started this picture a couple of days ago and am still trying to decide if I like it, and how to make the grass look more realistic. It wasn't what I intended to do but decided to try and put down what was in my head. Besides fixing the grass, I need to flatten the horizon some more. There is a slight glare on the right side from the light coming in the window when I took the pic.
This painting (weird that they call drawings made with pastels paintings) has made me realize that I do not like details. They take too long! Same reason I don't like puzzles. But I imagine if I ever want something to be done well or look good, then the details matter.

  1. Hey candi,
This is nice. Just darken the water in the back to add depth and make the horizon a little straighter. If you add some darker thin lines on some of the wheat that is closest, it will make it stand out and the other grass less clear so it's faded out. Nice job you're doing!
